Habitat for Humanity in Carlsbad hit by burglary

CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) - Habitat for Humanity in southeastern New Mexico says its home construction site has been burglarized and the theft will likely impact the group's efforts.
    
The Carlsbad Current-Argus reports (http://goo.gl/AMgviO) that burglars struck the Habitat home construction in Carlsbad this week and stole expensive power tools.
    
Officials estimate that around $2,000 worth of equipment were stolen.
    
Board member Pat Donavan says the group has a complete inventory list that will be checked to verify what's missing.
    
He says the group is hopeful that someone returns the tools.
