ALBUQUERQUE -- The Costco store on Eubank Boulevard SE is back open after a hazmat incident on Tuesday morning.

Just before 10 a.m., Costco employees noticed a Freon leak from the refrigerator area of the store. The store wasn't open for the day, but 75 employees did evacuate.

According to Albuquerque Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Romero, four employees were evaluated by paramedics at the scene for minor respiratory complaints, but were not taken to the hospital. An AFD hazmat team responded to assess the leak.

The cracked pipe had been repaired and the store is back open.
