Some parents in the Moriarty-Edgewood School District will have to find another school for their kids next year.
On Tuesday night, the school board decided to close Edgewood Elementary and Mountain View Elementary in order to save money. Fewer students and less money from the state are some of the problems.
The other three elementary schools, two middle schools and the one high school in the district will stay open.
Last week, KOB Eyewitness News 4 reported the district had lost about 2,000 students. State funding has also gone down by $5 million since 2008.
