Stabbing victim in critical but stable condition

Deputies are searching for suspects involved in a stabbing in Valencia County.

According to Detective Sgt. Don Derrick, 41-year-old Elroy Gutierrez was stabbed early Thursday at 308 El Cerro Mission Road, which is located across the street from the Monte Vista Fire Station.

The Valencia County Sheriff's Office says it is unknown how many times Gutierrez was stabbed. He is in critical but stable condition at an area hospital.

Deputies are looking for possibly two suspects, one who might have been the getaway driver.
