A Roswell neighborhood was shaken up on New Year’s Eve when a car crash ended with a vehicle landing on a home.

For the first time, we’re hearing the 911 calls made that night.

'911 what's your emergency?  Hello?  Can I help you?’ "We just got hit, we're on Poe street.  A guy ran a stop sign," said the 911 caller.

The first call came in at 12:18 a.m..

"We were just driving down Poe and the guy was flying, flying and didn't stop at the stop sign," said the caller.

The car was traveling northbound on Carver Street in Roswell when it ran a stop sign, hit a car, then rolled over a parked car and landed on a house.

Investigators believe the driver, 44-year-old Richard Hernandez, was drunk and speeding when he crashed into a vehicle with four people inside.

"We're out of our car, there was four of us.  The other car flew up, it's on top of a house literally," said the caller.

The video is shot by Plains-Valley Online News.

All four people in that car made it out okay, but Hernandez was airlifted to a hospital.

"He's out, he's unresponsive," said a 911 caller.

Neighbors said this street is normally quiet but not that night.

“First I heard the crash and I thought it was fireworks, but it sounded like a really big firework but I didn’t know and then I went back asleep," said Nancy Moorhead.

Moorhead said she woke back up when the police got there.

“I couldn’t believe it.  I had to keep looking out the window to make sure that I was seeing what I was seeing you know it was just really shocking," said Moorhead.

Roswell police said they are still waiting on blood test results to determine if Hernandez was intoxicated.

No word on his condition.
