Family displaced by quick burning fire

A family in southeast Albuquerque is without a home after a quick burning fire damaged their house.

The incident happened after 2 p.m. Saturday on the 1000 block of Arno Street.

According to the Albuquerque Fire Department, a neighbor who witnessed the flames called 911 and alerted the residents so they could evacuate safely.

A fire truck from the Bernalillo County Fire Department was the first engine at the scene and had the fire under control within 10 minutes of arrival.

No injuries were reported. The fire remains under investigation.
