Some merchants in Old Town are watching very closely to what happens to a well-known shop.
The "Candy Lady" is being evicted due to a dispute with her landlord over rent. Debbie Ball's shop has been in Old Town since 1980, but her candy modeled after hit TV show "Breaking Bad" has led to almost iconic status.
The Old Town Merchant's Association says they'll all suffer if the Candy Lady leaves.
"She's a cornerstone. She is internationally known right now because of the Breaking Bad and all that, and having that taken away out of Old Town right now would be devastating. I'd say," association president Sally Moon said.
The merchant's association says it's doing all it can to keep her in the neighborhood, including trying to find a new location in Old Town.
Meanwhile, the Candy Lady is also trying to raise $500,000 online for a new location. She set up a fundraiser on IndieGoGo.com and aims to raise all the money within the next two month.
Ball writes that she wants to possibly buy the building she's currently in or build a new location, but not rent one. She says a new kitchen alone will cost up to $250,000.
