ALBUQUERQUE (AP) - The U.S. Attorney's Office New Mexico collected close to $1.2 million in criminal and civil actions last fiscal year.
Acting U.S. Attorney Steven Yarbrough announced Thursday that the office collected $915,000 from criminal judgments and $235,000 in civil actions.
In addition, the office says it worked with the U.S. Department of Justice to collect another $12 million in cases jointly pursued.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced that the Justice Department collected around $8.1 billion in civil and criminal actions in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2013.
