Verizon Wireless customers experience outage in New Mexico

Albuquerque – Verizon Wireless customers suffered a brief outage in service Saturday morning in New Mexico.  According to Jenny Weaver, spokesperson with Verizon, the outage was first reported at approximately 11 am. 

Weaver added that service was disrupted mainly to their 3G and 4G network and it affected data transmission and long-distance calls.  Local call service was not interrupted at any time.

Service to business and individual customers was restored at approximately 1pm.  Verizon continues to investigate the cause and the exact timeframe of the outage.
