1 injured in Albuquerque over $5 debt

Albuquerque -- One male subject sustained a gunshot wound to his foot after an alleged altercation over a $5 dollar debt.  The incident happened on the 200 block of Española Street in Northeast Albuquerque. 

According to Officer Simon Drobik the victim did not want to cooperate with authorities during the initial stage of the investigation. Witnesses at the scene were able to provide police investigators with a description of a fleeing vehicle.  Detectives are currently following up on leads to locate the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting.

The individual shot was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.  Meanwhile police are still actively searching for the vehicle and its occupant.
