An Albuquerque man, who is charged with attacking two officers earlier this week, faced a judge on Saturday.

Anthony Abeyta is also charged with attempted murder after police say he nearly killed a woman in a home near Juan Tabo and Tramway.

Police were called to the home on a domestic violence call on Thursday.

That is where both officers were attacked.

Police say Abeyta hit a female officer in the face multiple times.

The female officer was taken to the hospital and released.

Abeyta also struck a male officer.

The woman found in the home is still in the hospital in critical condition.

A judge set Abeyta’s bond at $500,000.
