In light of the shooting in Roswell, one New Mexico lawmaker plans to reintroduce a school security bill in the upcoming legislative session.

Rep. Sandra Jeff, D-Crownpoint, introduced a bill last session to beef up school security. The bill would have created funding for schools to make improvements, like adding security cameras. Jeff says she plans on adding language to the bill for this session that would include metal detectors.

The 30-day session starts on Tuesday.
