Outage fixed in Los Lunas after car hits power pole

LOS LUNAS -- PNM crews restored power to more than 1,800 customers after a widespread outage early Thursday.

According to PNM, a vehicle crashed into a power pole near the area of Meadow Lake Road and El Cerro Loop. The damage was so extensive, crews had to replace the pole altogether.

At its peak, the power outage affected more than 2,000 residents in Valencia County. The outage lasted for about 10 hours and closed Ann Parish Elementary School on Thursday.
