The Four Corners community is mourning the death of a longtime basketball coach.

Kirtland Central's Kevin Holman passed away Wednesday after a long bout with thyroid cancer. Holman coached at Shiprock, Farmington and Kirtland Central, winning a state championship with the Lady Broncos in 2012 and taking the Lady Scorps to the title in 2002.

He was only 49 years old.
