An Albuquerque man said his truck was stolen from his driveway, but his worries don’t end there. Kristopher Miller said whoever took his truck could commit more and quick vehicle thefts.

His truck is a 2001 red Dodge Ram. “It’s got a sneaker repo lift underneath the back bumper,” said Miller. He said he uses the lift on his truck for personal use but he think whoever stole is now using it to steal other vehicles.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 found out it takes two minutes for someone to use the lift to steal a vehicle.

So what if you see your car being lifted by a truck and you have your suspicions? APD told KOB a legitimate repo driver will have an order from the lien that shows legal authority to tow the vehicle.

“It couldn’t have gotten any better for them. They hit a jackpot,” added Miller.

If you have any information on the truck, call police at 242-COPS.
