On Saturday, UNM added a new overflow handicap accessible parking lot after all the spots were filled up during a previous weekend.

The lot was set up in the Baseball South parking lot, which is farther from The Pit than normal handicap parking, so administrators set up shuttles to pick people up.

Each shuttle seated around eight people and they went back and forth nonstop to and from the lot from 5:00pm until the start of the game.

People that used the service said it was something new to get used for, but that they were grateful to use.

The Pit already had 137 handicap accessible parking spaces before.

4 On Your Side exposed an issue with that not being enough after a season ticket-holder faced difficulties caused by a shortage of accessible spots.
