After a record-breaking 43 days without winter precipitation, snow finally fell Monday night in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas.

On Tuesday morning, a winter weather advisory is issued for the northern part of the state until 4 p.m. This area could see another inch or two of snow.

As the storm exits this afternoon and this evening, we will get ready for a powerful punch of cold air and more snow late Wednesday into Thursday.

Santa Fe and northern New Mexico will see temperatures in the 20s-30s today. The East Mountains have a thirty percent chance of snow and big wind today. Albuquerque has a slight chance of flurries and rain this afternoon.
