A man who works for a company that's entire purpose is to deliver things to people is accused of taking.

Police say a woman found a FedEx employee stealing her stuff while he was on the job.

In the small New Mexico town of Tatum, things stay quiet most of the time, so the people know when something is out of place.

When Tina Bowman saw a FedEx freight semi parked in front of her storage building for the second time in a week, she decided to take a second look.

She found a man in his FedEx uniform hold her $2,000 saddle. Bowman says he had kicked in the back door of the building.

Bowman says as she called police, the man, identified as Oscar Darwin Jones, took off.

Tatum Police Chief Shawn Fisher says they contacted FedEx, who helped them track down their man.

Fisher says when they questioned Jones, he admitted to having a bike he stole from the property back at his home in Roswell. He apparently drove through Tatum all the time on his route.

Bowman says they'll get the bike back after police are done holding it for evidence.

Jones is charged with residential burglary, larceny, and breaking and entering.
