Drone crashes at White Sands National Monument

Holloman Air Force Base confirms a drone crashed at White Sands National Monument during a training mission on Friday morning.

According to Holloman officials, the unmanned QF-4 Drone crashed around 9 a.m. The monument had been closed in advance to the test mission and will remain closed until further notice.

There is no threat to the public at this time.

The cause of the crash is unknown, but the incident will be investigated.
