A grand jury has indicted the man accused of killing a father in a suspected DWI crash.

The Valencia County Sheriff's Department says 27-year-old Jacob Williams hit a motorcycle last month in Belen, killing Danny Sanchez.

Sanchez's 11-year-old daughter, Magen, was seriously injured and is recovering at UNM Hospital.

Williams was convicted years ago for killing another motorcyclist while driving drunk in 2006. The judge who sentenced Williams in that case, William Sanchez, is the brother of Danny Sanchez.

According to Valencia County District Attorney Lemual Martinez, Williams was indicted Thursday on charges of vehicular homicide and aggravated DWI. On the same day, Judge Sanchez announced his retirement from the bench.
