Traveling by plane is going to get a little easier for New Mexicans.
The Transportation Security Administration plans on opening an office in Albuquerque to process applications for the pre-check program.
The program allows travelers to bypass security lines at the airports and go through the screening process without having to take off shoes, belts or jackets, according to a Sunport spokesman.
Applicants have to go through a background check and interview with the TSA.
The new center will be located at 2921 Carlisle NE, Suite 126.
It will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
