According to an arrest warrant obtained by KOB Eyewitness News 4, Brandon Villalobos admitted to killing his friend and led police to the body, but the alleged confession only came after a series of conflicting stories.

The warrant states that Alex Madrid stayed the night at Villalobos' home Sunday and Monday, but when his aunt came to pick him up on Tuesday, Madrid wasn't there.

When deputies found Villalobos, they say he told them different stories about what happened.

First, Villalobos said he and Madrid were hanging out at an abandoned trailer home when three men started a fight with them.

Villalobos said he hit one of the men with a crowbar and they ran away. He assumed Madrid went home.

Villalobos then changed his story to one where the three men had captured Madrid, and Villalobos ran toward a nearby community center, finding Madrid under a mattress while on his way home.

It was at that point that Villalobos led investigators to Madrid's body in the field next to his home.

Investigators say the teen broke down and said, "You want the truth, I only hit him once."

Villalobos said he got into a fight with Madrid following an argument over Villalobos' daughter.

Villalobos told deputies Madrid attacked him with a screwdriver before he hit Madrid in the face, killing him.

The district attorney has ten days to decide whether to charge Villalobos as an adult or as a juvenile.
