Police investigating fatal shooting at Gallup McDonald's

Police are investigating a fatal shooting at a Gallup McDonald’s restaurant.

The incident happened around 12 p.m. on Saturday.

According to Gallup police, the victim was eating with his family when another man came in and started a physical altercation with him.

After the fight, the suspect got into a black Nissan, and police say he shot at the restaurant three times.

The victim was hit once.

The victim was able to write down the car’s license plate number before the suspect fled the scene.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Police found the vehicle around 5 p.m. on Saturday and several people were inside.

Police say they are conducting interviews, but have not made any arrests.

The investigation is on-going.
