The victim in a deadly Gallup shooting has been identified as Christopher Greyeagle.

Police say Greyeagle was eating lunch with his family at a McDonald’s restaurant when he got into a physical altercation with 32-year-old Gerald Wilson.

Police say Wilson left, got into his car and fired three shots at the restaurant.

Greyeagle was struck once.

However, Greyeagle was able to write down the car’s license plate number.

Greyeagle later died at the hospital.

Police tracked down the car late Saturday afternoon.

Wilson has been charged with an open count of murder, tampering with evidence, shooting from a motor vehicle and five counts of intimidation of a witness.

Gerald Wilson is charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a man at a Gallup McDonald's.
