Albuquerque police shot and killed a dog Monday afternoon after the dog allegedly bit three children.

Officers responded to a call at around 3 p.m. to the area of Wendall and Blake SW. A caller reported that three children had been bitten by a dog and that the dog was running toward a nearby charter school.

The officers discovered the dog nearby, and one officer shot his firearm, striking and killing the dog.
