A morning nap turned into a real life nightmare for one Albuquerque man on Wednesday – an intruder breaks in and sets his sister’s house on fire.

Ernesto Lean said he was sleeping when he heard the doorbell ring. “I said, who is it? And he doesn’t mention his name and when I opened, I don’t know,” said Ernesto Lean.

Police said that intruder is 31 year-old Michael Tyner. Police said Tyner threatened Lean and tried forcing his way inside the home. “I said excuse me. I don’t know you so I slammed the door,” said Lean.

But Tyner still managed to get his way and somehow ended up inside the house. Again, face-to-face with Lean. “I saw him holding something metal so what I did is, when I saw him I just ran, ran outside my sister’s house,” added Lean.

As for what happened next – smoke coming from a 2nd story room of Lean’s sister’s house. “We saw the house just burning. I don’t know he did or I don’t know how it happened,” said Lean.

Police think Tyner is the one who did it.

He is now in police custody.
