Thieves have an appetite for many things: Electronics, jewelry, cash, but what one guy had his eye on may be what puts him in handcuffs.

The camera has already been replaced for the third time, but the third time is a charm for police who now they have a clear view of what the guy looks like.

“We work hard to protect ourselves, our employees and of course our company, so it is a little bit discouraging,” said Jiffy Lube Manager Cory Reeves says replacing the security camera at the back of the building on San Mateo near Montgomery is nothing new. The most recent theft was just last week.

The only thing the suspect takes is that camera.

“It’s more like a hobby it seems like,” Reeves said.

But the last time the guy hit-- he left behind something that can be very useful to the business and Albuquerque Police: A clear shot at his face.

“There's not always a smart criminal,” Reeves said.

Reeves says he doesn't know why the guy keeps stealing the cameras because they are only valued at $25 to $50 each.

Police are still searching for the guy caught in this surveillance photo.

If you recognize him, call CrimeStoppers at 505-843-STOP

Jiffy Lube put the most recent replacement camera higher, out of reach to prevent another camera theft.
