The coach of a soccer team in Rio Rancho has been fired, accused of trying to sexually proposition one of his players - a 15-year-old girl.

It's not a school soccer team - it's club soccer - a team in the "New Mexico Sting" network.

The girl gave Rio Rancho police a statement accusing her coach of asking her if she wanted to have sex - only he didn't say have sex - he said something else. She said he called her later to apologize - but said he was thinking of bending her over.

It was enough to get him fired. The president of the New Mexico Youth Soccer Association tells KOB Eyewitness News 4, "We immediately revoked his risk management clearance and are now following our risk management guidelines."

That means he won't be coaching youth soccer anywhere in the state or the nation for that matter.

Rio Rancho police investigated, but so far have not arrested the coach or charged him with anything.
