The warm weather has been good for business for street vendors in Albuquerque.

They’ve been able to open up a month early and sales are good.

Things are looking up for David Christianson, the owner of New York Hot Dogs in downtown Albuquerque.

He stands at his cart everyday, rain or shine.

“Depends on a certain amount of luck,” he said.

He says all the sun has been good for business. He is one of dozens of street vendors just in the downtown area who are reaping the rewards of early spring.

“When it’s nice out people will stand by a hotdog cart, chit chat and buy a hot dog,” he said.

He says he is now serving up to 75 hotdogs a day and that is double from last year.

Other street vendors to say they've experienced the same.

“We New Mexicans love our sun,” Christianson said, “We do love our good weather and we’re kind of spoiled.”
