The Tennessee woman accused of leading New Mexico State Police on a high-speed chase in Taos with her children in the van appeared in court on Thursday.

One state police officer, Elias Montoya, shot at the van as it sped away. He was later fired.

The Taos News reports that Oriana Farrell's attorney called for evidence, including the internal investigation into Montoya.

The judge ordered that evidence to be turned into the court within 10 days. He will then decide if that will be shared with the defense.

Farrell faces charges of aggravated fleeing, child abuse and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
