Police seek missing 12-year-old girl

Albuquerque police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since last week.

Stephanie Garbalena-Soto was last seen at her North Valley residence on March 7. A press release sent out by Albuquerque police indicated incorrrectly that Soto had been missing since last November.  Soto is believed to be a runaway but her family is concerned for her safety, in part because of her acquaintances.

Soto is 5'4" and weighs 120 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding Soto's whereabouts are asked to contact Detective Vic Wiebe of the Albuquerque Police's Missing Persons Unit at 505-924-6055 or 505-242-COPS.
