The Attorney General's office is clearing up some conflicting answers from them and the Department of Public Safety surrounding two documents at the center of an KOB Eyewitness News 4 investigation.

A KOB investigation revealed an anonymous letter from academy cadets in April 2013, accusing then-deputy director and current executive director Jack Jones of encouraging them to cheat on exams.

The investigation also revealed an internal memo at the academy written by an instructor, accusing Jones of the same thing.

The Department of Public Safety told KOB the allegations had been investigated by the Attorney General's office. The Attorney General himself said they had not.

Wednesday, Phil Cisneros from the Attorney General's office called KOB clear up what they did and didn't investigate.

Cisneros says the Attorney General did investigate the anonymous letter claims and found no credible evidence.

However, they have not investigated claims made by former basic bureau chief Phil Gallegos in his internal memos to Jack Jones.

There is no word on whether a separate investigation into those claims will be launched.
