STAFFORD. Va. -- Prosecutors will not give up in finding justice in the murder of a Socorro, N.M., native.

Julie Serna Gonzales was shot to death during a fight with her husband, Arthur Gonzales, inside their Virginia home.

Gonzales claims his wife attacked him with a knife and he acted in self-defense.

According to the Las Vegas Optic, a Virginia judge declared a mistrial over the weekend because jurors couldn't agree on a verdict.

A hearing is set for April 24 to set a date for a new trial.

Gonzales, a Las Vegas, N.M. native, is a special agent with the FBI. He has been placed on leave.
