The wind is continuing to cause trouble in eastern New Mexico.
Bent Tree Road is usually pretty quiet in Roswell.
It’s a place where Joyce Harless says she enjoys living alone.
"It's scary to me. I don't like it at all," said Harless.
But this week is a different story.
“There’s no way I can. I usually do my own yard work, but there's no way I can do this,” said Harless. “Just no way."
The tumbleweeds are piling 7-8 feet high in some places.
Some residents can't even walk between homes.
“There's no way to get through to the back at all," said Harless.
Joyce’s neighbors say all the windy days are creating a problem that seems never-ending.
"It's been horrible,” said Carlos Salas. “We just keep pushing them out, they keep coming. We keep pushing them out but it's like more just keep blowing in."
They say they need help.
"I've never seen so many tumble weeds piled up next to my house ever," said Helen Oshobu.
The Roswell Code Enforcement tells KOB they will help, just give them a call at 575-637-6280.
