Many people listen to their favorite radio stations when they're driving, but one Santa Fe mother says what her 11-year-old son's bus driver had blaring on his ride to school one morning should never have been playing.

The mother, who wishes not to be identified, says that it makes her very upset because that's not a station she allows her children to listen to.

"It's because of the language that's said," she told us.

This station, 97.3 KISS FM, plays rap, hip hop and R&B music.

The mother had her son record what was being played on the bus once she found out about it.

The mother tells us she called Santa Fe Public Schools and talked to the Transportation Department's Director.

She says the director told her they would look into the issue, but also mentioned the school does not have any regulations when it comes to what radio stations are being played.

They later informed her the bus driver agreed not to play those types of radio stations on the bus.

The mother still had a message for other parents.

"They should ask their children what's being played on the bus and I would really like for there to be rules and regulations because the school bus is an essence an extension of school," she stated.
