The man accused in a hate crime incident at a Nob Hill Jewish deli will be sent to a prison hospital.
During a hearing on Friday, John Ng's lawyer argued that he wasn't a threat and would be better served out of custody in treatment.
A judge disagreed and ordered Ng to a prison hospital in North Carolina.
Ng is accused of writing Jewish slurs on U.S. mailing labels and then sticking them on Nosh deli's door in January.
According to the criminal complaint, FBI agents said Ng admitted to posting the labels.
