If a tree falls on your car and you are out of town, does it still make a sound?
“Like it kinda was like a big boom,” is how six-year-old Bailey described the noise.
Sam Johnson, who owns the tree said, “We heard something like thunder and lightning and thought that is what it was”
Well the owner of a maroon four-door car currently residing under the top half of Johnson’s tree is going to figure that out when he gets back from vacation.
Johnson said they are great neighbors.
After the strong wind in Farmington last night, half of a 30-foot silver spruce ended up on that great neighbor's car.
“I never noticed it was split in the middle. What happened (was), half the tree came off,” explained Johnson.
Bailey saw the tree go over.
“It was kinda like crooked,” She said. “I thought it was going to fall down.”
It did fall.
Now all that's left is to clean up and move on.
“The insurance company will do it, hopefully. I’d hate to have to do it myself,” said Johnson.
Johnson said he has no plan to plant another tree, “Well if we do I'm planting it over here,” he laughs and gestures to the middle of his back yard. He said the tree was planted too close to the fence.
Now Johnson just hopes for less of that dreaded wind.
“Who likes the wind? I think we need it,” Johnson Laughs. “We need wind of course. It’s necessary but I could do without it,” Johnson jokes.
