Four people are in critical but stable condition following a car accident in Southeast Albuquerque.
The accident happened at the intersection of Monroe and Zuni on Saturday afternoon.
According to police, alcohol does not appear to be a factor, but speed may have played a part in the accident.
A witness told KOB Eyewitness News 4 that he saw people ejected from the SUV after it hit a pole.
"So everybody rushed over to see the scene and then we saw the bodies outside the vehicle," the witness said. "None of the doors were open and all of the windows were broken out, so it looked pretty ugly."
Only one vehicle was involved in the crash.
One of the injured passengers was a child.
The names of the crash victims have not been released.
