The Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority will host a town hall meeting on April 9 to discuss the issue of adding fluoride to the city's drinking water.

The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the African American Performing Arts & Exhibition Center, located at 310 San Pedro Drive NE.

Starting at 6 p.m., experts will present on the benefits and detriments of adding supplemental fluoride to Albuquerque's drinking water supply.

The meeting will also allow for a public comments portion. Anyone who wishes to speak at the meeting is asked to sign up starting at 5:30 p.m.

The governing board of the Water Authority plans to vote on the fluoride issue on April 23.
