LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say a man and pregnant woman have died after being found shot inside a Las Cruces apartment.

The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that police are investigating the case as an apparent murder-suicide.

Police were called to the Sexton Apartments around 12:20 p.m. Monday and officers found two people with gunshot wounds.

The 30-year-old woman was treated on scene and then transported to a hospital, where she and the unborn child both were pronounced dead.

Police found a 32-year-old man inside the apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The names of the man and woman are being withheld until relatives can be notified.

Police say it's unclear what led to the fatal shootings.
