A fundraiser will take place at the Dirty Bourbon on Friday night to help pay for the funeral of an Eastern New Mexico University bull rider.

Irvyng Urquijo, 20, died Tuesday night after a bull stepped on him during practice. Urquijo was a member of ENMU's rodeo team.

Proceeds will be accepted at the Dirty Bourbon, located in Albuquerque at 9800 Montgomery Boulevard NE, starting at 6 p.m. Patrons need only to mention "Irvyng" at the door.

"Irvyng meant the world to the small community he was from. We are greatly impacted by this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family," said Amanda Gallegos, one of the fundraiser's organizers.

A rosary will take place Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Springer, N.M. The funeral will take place at the same church at 2 p.m.
