An Albuquerque mother is behind bars after being accused of repeatedly hitting and choking her two daughters.

Natalia Alcala’s daughter came forward to her school counselor and said her mother was abusing her.

Alcala is facing two counts of child abuse.

Her daughters both reported to authorities that Alcala would hit them with closed fists and would pin them against the wall with her hands over their throats.

Alcala is also accused of threatening to make one of the girls eat dog feces when they did not clean it up fast enough.
