SANTA FE -- Santa Fe police have identified the 60-year-old woman who was hit and killed by a Rail Runner on Saturday.

Suzanne LeBeau was riding her bike north on the Santa Fe Rail Trail bike path when she turned east on the path parallel with Zia Road. Police said she was hit by the southbound train when she crossed the tracks near St. Francis Road.

Police say railroad arms, signals, lights and the train's horn were all working properly at the time of the incident.

Witnesses told police that the conductor blew his horn multiple times trying to get LeBeau's attention.

LeBeau was pronounced dead at the scene.

The intersection of Zia and St. Francis was closed for a little more than six hours during the investigation.
