Albuquerque police arrested a man after a SWAT situation in the Northeast Heights on Friday night.

Earlier in the afternoon, officers responded to 11800 Montgomery Boulevard NE in reference to a domestic violence incident. Police said the male involved in the incident, Dominic Burks, barricaded himself inside the apartment and refused to come out.

After a two-hour SWAT standoff, police said they were able to take Burks into custody.

Burks has been charged with aggravated assault on a household member and false imprisonment. He also had a warrant out for his arrest for violating probation.
