Two people were taken into custody after the Albuquerque Police Department's narcotics team responded to a suspected meth lab Wednesday night.

Police arrested David Peter Wittenstrom on a drug distribution/trafficking charge and Lynnette Joy Hall on a charge of battery on a household member.

APD officer Elder Guevara said the incident started as a domestic violence situation at a home near Central and Louisiana around 8 p.m. At the scene, officers found components of a possible meth lab.

Mesilla Street was shut down between Domingo and Central during the investigation. The street reopened around 2:30 a.m.

Police have not yet said what was found in the home.
