The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe is bringing Zozobra back to a Friday night.

The 90th annual Burning of Will Shuster's Zozobra will be presented on August 29, 2014. The City of Santa Fe has approved the permit for the August 29 date.

"Although an overwhelming majority of Santa Feans welcome this change, we know there are few who are disappointed. We will work hard to win back their attendance at Santa Fe's most popular community event," said Raymond Sandoval, Zozobra committee chair.

If you have been affected by the date change, Kiwanis has set up a program to assist you, please call 1-855-ZOZOBRA and choose option 1.

"The Fiesta Council and Kiwanis bond has never been stronger we fully supports this change it strengthens both organization and creates a week-long celebration of our beloved Fiesta," said Gilbert Romero, president of the Santa Fe Fiesta Council.
