Have you ever had a question for your doctor but couldn't wait for your next appointment to get it answered? Starting at 5:30 Thursday afternoon, a group of Albuquerque doctors will take those questions and answer them via Twitter.
Getting help from a doctor has never been so easy. Tonight, they're using twitter to answer your health questions.
"We thought this would be an interesting way for us to communicate with, with the community. We're already doing a lot with Facebook," Dr. Lance Wilson of ABQ Health Partners said.
Dr. Wilson will be one of the doctors helping out tonight. He said this concept is perfect for those who either don't have time to visit a doctor, or those who might be a little embarrassed by their question. "If people are nervous about looking someone in the eye and asking a tough question, this may make it easier for them to ask those questions, Dr. Wilson said."Patients might be shocked to find out what we hear when we talk to other patients."
Got a question? All you have to do is log onto Twitter and tweet ABQ Health Partners at @abqhp. You'll get an answer without ever stepping foot in a doctor's office.
So start submitting your questions now. You won't get answers though until 5:30 tonight and don't forget to use the hashtag #askabqdocs.
