SANTA FE (AP) - The latest fundraising reports show Democrat Hector Balderas with a more than 20-to-1 campaign cash advantage over Republican Susan Riedel in the race for attorney general.
Balderas on Monday reported collecting about $47,000 in contributions during the past month. His campaign had cash-on-hand of nearly $663,000 as of last week.
Riedel reported a campaign balance of $29,400. She raised about $12,000, including a personal loan of about $1,900.
Both candidates are running unopposed in the June 3 primary election.
Balderas is finishing his second term as state auditor.
Riedel is a former prosecutor and judge from Las Cruces. She was chief deputy district attorney when Gov. Susana Martinez served as district attorney in the 3rd Judicial District.
