A picture of a jumping house from upstate New York has gone viral.

A strong wind gust carried it about 20 feet above the ground with two children inside before they fell out.

Both received serious injuries but are expected to recover.

Jack Bonsignore, with the Rio Rancho-based jumping house company "Jump 4 Fun" has an idea as to what happened.

"It was something that was purchased at a place like Toys-R-Us. The stakes that were used to place that down on the ground were only about 6 inches long," Bonsignore said.

Nearly 11,000 children are rushed to the emergency room every year from jumping balloon injuries according to the National Children's Hospital. That's 30 kids a day, or one every 45 minutes.

A commercial jumping house can weigh anywhere from 150-300 pounds. Even with that much--a strong gust of wind can still pick it up."

It happened at Mariposa Basin Park in Albuquerque back in 2005.

12 kids were hurt inside two jumping houses that went airborne thanks to a dust devil.

Jack does all he can so that it doesn't happen to his houses.

"We use two foot stakes to hold the jumpers down on all four sides. Not to say that a big gust of wind came and could pick it up. We definitely go over the instructions with the parents."

His message for parents thinking about renting a jumping house: Go with the pros!.

"You should definitely use a company that is insured and licensed by the City of Albuquerque or Rio Rancho."
