Some southwest Albuquerque residents say a nearby cemetery has become a target for crime, sex, and illegal dumping.

The Santa Clara Cemetery near Old Coors and Arenal is run by a non-profit group.  Management tells Danielle Todesco with KOB Eyewitness News 4 that they do the best they can to keep up with the problems, but they are constantly dealing with trash and crime inside the cemetery.

Residents say they noticed this weekend, someone dumped dirty stained mattresses and an old desk on top of a grave.  Tony Lopez lives right next to the cemetery.  He said it's disgusting and disrespectful.

"People don't have the courtesy to go to a dump and pay $5 dollars," Lopez said.  "They just dump it right there."

Management for El Campo Santo said they would have the trash cleaned up first thing on Friday.
